February 22, 200620 yr Hi,I just got the OK from the wife to build a shed for a sim in the backyard. Work is starting this Saturday...Anyway, after reading many websites I am a little confused. How do you guys implement cockpit automation for things like lights on switches turning off when another switch is pressed? Is there a way to perform checks or logic via macros? Do you guys use the software that comes with IO interface boards? Are there any tutorials that explain this?
February 22, 200620 yr Hi djmarius,I think if you go to the http://www.opencockpits.com/ web site, you will find what you want and more.I just built my first interface last month, and every thing work fine. Programming with the software SIOC is very amazing and you can find many existant programs.JP Tremblayhttp://pages.infinit.net/flight01/index.html
February 22, 200620 yr Can you point me to the page with this info. I went around the site but don't see anything specific on this subject.
February 22, 200620 yr I suggest you to go to the "download" section where you can download everything you need to work with IOCards. You will find it here :http://www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?name=Downloadsand the forum where you can find examples and piece of SIOC code:http://www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?name=ForumsI'm using IOCards with SIOC and right after a few days I implemented the engine start sequence (with a LED that turns on while engine is starting and automatically turns off when the sequence is completed) and the gear switch (with red/green LED indicator). If you decide for the IOCard system you can also buy the needed cards directly from their web site.If you need some help you can ask it here ;)Regards,Bob
