Just browsing through and electronics site in Aus and located rotary encoders, alps type SRBM2L59EX, which I beleive are the type that close one switch in one direction and another switch in the other direction. Runs the same as a knitter I think. $1.50aus (?$1.20US) each, but AAAARRRRGGGHHH too late. Will contact the company and see what the chances are of getting more. I won't say that he will sell heaps, otherwise he'll bump up the price. Keep you posted.Rob

Just to set things straight, I'm in Australia. As for the website, it was at oatleyelectronics.comI sent them an email and they replied very quickly with. Sorry there was just a handful, and they were surplus from 'something' but he didn't know what. Just said they get leftover stuff in and get rid of it cheap. That ends the mystery. Thanks for the replies.Rob.Melbourne Australia.
