March 30, 200620 yr The new IOCard USB DCmotors card is available.http://www.opencockpits.com/images/2t15s.gifThis card controls up to 6 DC motors through the USB port. It includes 5 analogue axles too.The card controls speed and direction using PWM, and it's possible to add a power module for bigger motors (card admits motors up to 30 volts and 1 ampere). This is a demostration video :http://www.andare-ing.com/uploads/videos/U...tor_example.zipwww.opencockpits.com
March 31, 200620 yr I read USB .. does that mean this is a stand-alone card ? Or does it require the IO-cards motherboard ?
March 31, 200620 yr Hi Ferdie! What is the practical difference between this AC motor card, the servo card (well, servos turn only ~180 degrees, so I know this) and the stepper motor card?Just "more powerful motors"? Or is there something else?Awesome to see new development going on :-)//Tuomas
April 2, 200620 yr USB Servo Card can control up to 6 RC servo motors. You can use this card to selec a position (0 to 180 degrees) (10 bits of resolution) of servo motors.USB Stepper Card can control up to 3 stepper motor uni or bipolar, and select a position 0 to 360 degrees.USB DC motor can control up to 6 DCmotors (up to 1 Amp) and select direction and speed. Each motor can be used for a specific solution. For example, servo-motors can be used for gauges (easy use for gauges if not has a continous turn), stepper motor can be used for gauges with continous turn. DCMotor can be used for DC motors, more powerful motors used for Auto-Throttles, auto-trims... Regards, Manuel V
