VERY interesting site for getting parts Machined

Featured Replies

Hi,I just stumbled onto the following site...don't know if it has been discussed before on this forum, since I'm just starting to build. However, on the chance that you've not seen it:http://www.eMachineshop.comReally is an amazing site. One downloads the FREE CAD software, with printed and audio tutorials, the designs the part using the software and obtains an instant price quote for it's manufacture. Parts can be made out of almost any material, by almost any technique be it milling, laser engraving, whatever. Materials include MDF board, polystyrene, polycarbonate, nylon, silicone rubber, the list is LONG.Anyway, I'm not involved AT ALL with this company, but thought I should at least alert those of you who are unaware of it to it's presence I'm going to get a few quotes......it's not cheap, but what is in this "hobby/obsession"?MT

Interesting. This looks much like www.schaeffer-ag.de / www.frontpanelexpress.com - similar concept: download software and design parts. Nice. But the eMachineshop seems to offer more complex shapes and I guess a bit more expensive prices too. But interesting to have more choices.Has anyone tried them?//Tuomas
