April 15, 200620 yr hello gentleman out there i want to say that im a buy the book kind of guy , so im not wanting to do anything that is against the rules, or laws of the land, but i do have a question about running wideview.i have four coms running wideview and i also have FS9 loaded on all four coms, i went to wideview web sight and the guy that owns wideview said i need to own four copies of FS9 so that cd4 will work on all coms, im pretty sure he had to say that to protect himself, no problem.1. does he really think i will have to go out and buy three more FS9 at 40.00 x 3.2. i have tried the no crack cd that will replace cd 4 and all that does is cause FS9 to crash after awhile (someone told me that was your problen and he was right, no more problems there, im thinnking microsoft incorporated that in the 9.1 upgrade without telling anyone so that it would not work. of course i may be wrong:)i of course was thinking that this was a legal thing to do.3. so i thought why dont i just make a copy of cd4 and that would work , im after all using it for private use only and i mean only.well guess what it is right protected. So you good people out there do i have to go and buy 3 more copies of FS9.......................Thanks............Robert
April 16, 200620 yr thanks for the reply, as a matter of fact the reason for this post is to find out what is the proper procedure, and if the no crack cds are ilegal, why are there so many legit sites using them , i do agree that they seem to me to be ilegal, i will however say to you that i own a copy of microsoft word and when i have to redownload it to my computer, they will say that it is allowed on two computers , so there is some loop holes, also is that a Bill Gates law for his product. and if so i will indeed go out and buy three more copies of FS9 x 40.00 so that i can just use cd number 4 and put the rest up to collect dust, because im a FS9 addict....Thank you
April 16, 200620 yr The main purpose of the "nocd" crack is to spare your CD4 from getting broken or worn out in the drive. Not to run the same copy of FS on many computers. I guess that's why most sites do keep it available.Whatever is in the EULA of MS Word is not relevant, what matters is what the FS9 EULA reads. Those are separate licenses. Then again, I rather spare myself from the pain of wideview setup and intend to go with the matrox triplehead2go and one fast PC. It's just less hassle to keep it on one PC.//T
