November 10, 200619 yr Fs2004 with default Boeing 737-400In FsBusRouter I'm testing the function HDG SELECTOR and HDG DISPLAY with the encoder:if I turn one step clockwise AND one step counter-clockwisethe display descreses by 1 ; and every time so.If I turn another step clockwise (totaly of 2 or more in the same direction) nothing moves on the displayMy encoder's type is Dutch rotaries Voti like suggest by Norbert : http://www.voti.nl/shop/catalog.html?M-SW-ROT- In FsAdmin I set encoder with keytype 4 ( rotary two phase A ) and work perfectly: with the jumper J16 close turning ccw and cw the result is1 0 -1 and 1 0 1 ( CID=1 KeyNumber=0 -1/+1 if I turn ccw/cw )- remove jumper J16- In FsbusRouter I set DISPLAY HEADING and if I move HEADING directly with mouse in the Boeing the display 7 segment work perfectly.- I have set the encoder in HEADING SELECTOR in this way: Controlled ID = 1 Row ID = 0 Sub ID = 0 Active = OK Type = Knitter(:( Inverted - Integer - fractional = empty Round = OK Step = 1 Acc. Max Time = 30 Acc. delay count = 3 Acc. multiplier = 1 Acc. MAx multiplier = 4 Destinations = FSB.MCP.HDG FS.StandardAP.HeadingOther thing : if I turn encoder cw or ccw the IO PCB's green led flashesThanks for your helpFabioItaly

November 15, 200619 yr Hi Fabio, This configuration works well in my classics FSBUS. I used the dutch encoder too. See if you are connected in the correct mode the rotary .Saludos
November 16, 200619 yr Thanks for your help but the encoder continues to work perfectly inFsBusAdmin but doesn't work correctly in FsBusRouter.I don't know what to do !!!Thanks a lotFabioItaly
November 17, 200619 yr Hi Fabio , if work perfectly in FsBusAdmin may be there are something wrong in the configuration of groups, duplicate assignation. Do you try with the rotary alone?, with a new configuration?. If not try it, may be this is the solution. Then you have to check your config.I tried your configuration in my fsbus and work OK.Regards, Alberto
November 17, 200619 yr Hi Fabio,I think there is nothing wrong on the hardware side (because you see -1/1 when turninig cw/ccw.I assume you use the 2nd generation fsbus? If I look at your settings in the routersw, you use the classic parameters. I see the selection menu in de routersw were you can choose knitters or other rotaries. You should NOT see that. That selection is done in the fsadmin sw for the NG boards.Go into settings of the router and select NG only. Then experiment with a empty left window. Add the first rotary.(rightmouseclick).At the moment I am not at my homepc, so I can not tell you exact what to choose. It is guiet up in the rightmouse click menu. Add-digital input?Just experiment. If you do not succeed, I will post a pic this evening and point out to you what I mean.regardsNorbert

November 17, 200619 yr FabioI use IOcards so please excuse me if I am not correct in what I say, with my encoders I use the center pin as common and the outer two as the switches I see in you pic this is different, again may be I am wrong but I thought it was worth a post!Good luckSteve
November 17, 200619 yr Fabio,As I asked you before. What board are the rotaries attached too?On the pic I see (still) the menu of the old board. That is not going to work with the NG IO board. I suppose you use the new one, because you are talking about fsadmin.Norbert
November 17, 200619 yr Beer and champagne for all.Sorry but I didn't saw the Norbert's answer and the problem has being solved. My setting was correct in the setup of FsBusRouter: NG.The mistake was: I didn't choose the correct Rotary's page. With the empty left menu I have choosed the RotayDigitalInputand all work OK.For Steve : thanks but the encoder's image above is correct: common line is mark OKThank you very much for your help, I was in despair !!!FabioItaly
