SERIOUS PROBLEMS!!!

Featured Replies

Ok my GeForce4 Ti4400 is a peace of junk! I have had this for quite some time now and all it has given me is problems. When I initially loaded the card, I got the errors that are reoccuring now. The card won't allow windows to load. In safe mode, everything is messed up (see pic). I have no clue what started this error again... the last major thing I loaded on my computer was the America's Army patch. What I did to stop this problem when I first got the card was to reload my GeForce2 (using that now) and then load the GeForce4 again. I have tried that about three times now... and nothing. Something is seriously wrong. I think it might hardware related. I need some computer genius to help me! PLEASE HELP! If I had to guess from the picture - which I do ;-) I'd say the card is just plain broke. Looks like a bad memory chip or controller. Hopefully, its still in warrenty and you can get it replaced.

In addition to the card being possibly bad, what is your power supply rated at?The Gef/2 has lower wattage requirements (250W) than the later GeF cards. Even those requirements may be too low if you have a fair share of other peripherals installed. Also, what brand is your GeF/4? Where did you get it from? Should be under warranty....-John

Thanks guys... I actually figured it out. Not sure what the problem was. If this happens again though, I know what to do now. It was a matter of completely getting rid of the driver. I guess I wasn't removing the driver correctly. Whatever... it works! :-) Andrew Heath[a href=http://www.duncanfuller.com/d21tracon/]Detroit TRACON[/a]THE RED WINGS RULE!http://www.duncanfuller.com/d21tracon/banner1.jpghttp://www.duncanfuller.com/d21tracon/banner2.jpg
