April 7, 200719 yr I have gotten some really great help on this forum and appreciate the experience here.My information gathering so far has been a learning curve and I thought it would be good to get some general feedback from the experts.I am attempting to build a GA cockpit and here is what I have so far.I am using a CH Yoke and Rudder pedals(not the USB models) and have ordered a GoFlight 166 Radio module as well as Desktop Aviator 1020 Avionics panel, which is a 5 position key and switches for lights ,pitot heat, fuel pump.I already have the Desktop Aviator USB to 15 interface for any other switches I may need.I have several old flight instruments from a ground based simulator which have autosyn motors in them.My intention is to try and re-use the housings and utilize a combination of stepper and servo motors to run the instruments.I have Wideview,FSuipc (registered)and WideFs.I have looked at Iocards and thought that due to exchange, shipping etc. that I a m better off going with FsBus as I can build single sided PCB,s and would great difficulty building the double sided Iocards.I have etched the boards for the FsBus classic Com, stepper and servo but am curious as to wether I wouold be better off starting with the Ng boards as it obviously improved and I believe I read somewhere that there will be new stepper and servo files soon.I guess I am wondering if for my scale of application it will make that much differenc. If I was building a large sim I think the Ng is a better choice. So, I will await the advise and input from those who are more knowledgeable before buying any more parts to populate the classic boards. Thanks to all who feelable to help me in this.Bob R
