Hi. I need to hook up a variable speed fan to a hang glider simulator, so that when your speed increases the fan blows on your face more, and when you slow down, you feel the wind in your face decreasing in speed. The program I'm using is FSX. For this to work I need to hook into FS somehow. I know that it is possible to do, because people hook up instruments to FS to make their own real life like cockpits. Do you know how I would go about doing this, and if not do you know of a person I could contact or website that I could take a look at?Thanks,Sam

Sam,The software connection into FSX is called SimConnect. It ships with the deluxe version of FSX. It does not automatically install when you install FSX. You have to do a separate install of SimConnect from the FSX DVD. When SimConnect installs, it also installs the documentation. Included in the documentation are numerous code samples that illustrate various SimConnect calls. There is a SimConnect forum here on AVSIM that's worth visiting. There is another at FSdeveloper. If you are a C# programmer, take a look at Brian's blog for a four part tutorial http://www.notasenator.com/blog/If you prefer Delphi, visit Scott Hendry's site, http://home.exetel.com.au/flightsim/Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.comwww.mikesflightdeckbooks.com
