October 9, 200718 yr As I said one week ago I made a tutorial on my site about how to modify a rotary switch to add an encoder with push button. So you can see it on my site in the section "Electronique"...Most, in the next days and weeks I should add many new items on my avancement. The site has not been updated since last spring, but I did not stop working on it. So many photos should be add soon...Alhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/178715.jpg Construire ses rêves! http://www.sim-737ng.com/
October 9, 200718 yr Hi AlI just visited your site and I have to admit to be abolutely blown away by your skills and ingenuity.Unfortunatly I do not speak french.I am toying with the idea of building an ATR panel using (stealing ) some of your ideas alas I do not speak french. Is there a tutorial in english (or German)?I love the idea of building the parts and switches as you did. It seems to be cost effective and MUST BE JUST SO SATISFIYING!I am "only at research stage " at the moment. Are you using FS9 or FSX for your simulator?Well done, kind Regards and God blessAlfred
October 9, 200718 yr Author Hi Alfred,Thank you for your compliments...Unfortunatly there is no tutorial in other language than french. In the past I kept in both language my site for a couple of months but it was so much work to keep two sites up to date, finaly I decided to keep only one...But, knowing that many people do not speack french, I always try to make photos talking by themselves. So just looking at them you can understand how to proceed. At least this is what I hope...Actualy I am using FS( because my computer is very little one. But I plan to use FSX in the final step...Have a good luck in you work. keep in mind that building your sim you will not fly in a short time! BUT... this is a VERY SATISFYING project!!!!Regards,Al Construire ses rêves! http://www.sim-737ng.com/
October 10, 200718 yr Hi Al!Thanks for your reply and encouragment!I understnad that even keeping your site and tutorials in ONE language must be taking up a lot of your time.....You are right, the photos are easy to follow.....ONLY BECAUSE YOU MAKE IT LOOK EASY though.I am looking forward to hear how you are going on with FSX and once I decided on my time & budget commitments I MAY get in touch with questions if that is OK.All the best and God blessAlfredP.S: If you still have some of your old tutorials from your bilingual days, would you mind sharing them with me???my e-mail [email protected]
October 10, 200718 yr Here's a link to a Google translation of the project page. It comes out quite readable, which isn't always the case with machine translations. :-)http://tinyurl.com/2remwx
October 10, 200718 yr Thank you for the tip...It is helpful indeed and just re-enforces my respect for Al's amazing talent!!!!Regards & God blessAlfred
