421C Golden Eagles Panel Update

Featured Replies

Thanks to the unselfish support and generous permission from Flight One Software to use their excellent 421C bitmap, I will be uploading the 421C Golden Eagle Panel Update in a few days. Below is a brief summary of the systems included in the update: Sub Panel #1

Bill,I look forward to your panel! The 421 is my favorite FS plane at the moment and I've used it as a basis for my home cockpit. I have a few questions about your addition. First, do the pressurization gauges actually function in a logical manner? If so, that would really be a first for MSFS as far as I can remember! You talk about "subpanels". Are these small panels that could undocked and moved to another monitor? I use four monitors with FS2K2 and consider the biggest advantage of the 421 to be the ability to move almost all the gauges to other monitors. I then use the virtual cockpit mode to fly (using TrackerIR!), referring to the additional monitors as I would a real panel. I'm guessing your gauges don't actually show up on the virtual cockpit, so having the ability to move them to another monitor would be great!Lastly (and this is probably too much to hope for!) any chance the various controls you are adding can be controlled by keypresses? My cockpit uses a keyboard emulator and I'd love to make the connection between the switches and the panel.A lot of questions! Can't wait to see it.David

Bill,Thanks in advance for the panel update. I cant wait for some of these features. I cant believe that Flight1 is cool enough to let you upload it. Great job! One question, is the radar altimeter part of your update, or am I missing something in the original 421?-------------Michael

Thank you to Bill and Flight1 for making this happen! :)Julian

....and I was thinking just last night "Hmmm....wonder if that C421 panel upgrade was still in the works " Pleasant co-incidence and look for to your upgrade to this fine aircraft. Thanks Mike.Greg
