ntdll.dll error

Featured Replies

hi guys,When I'm flying around in Fs2002 I frequently get an ntdll.dll error.I don't know where this error comes from and it sux very much. :-erksBTW I'm running WinXP Pro.Please help. :-wave

I just encountered this error too at work. OS: Win2000 ServerPlease help. . .ditto!-drew

This may seem like an obvious question, and I mean no offense by asking it.Have any of you experiencing the problem made ANY changes to your system such as installing or removing software or drivers? If so, did this error suddenly crop up after these changes?A quick google search, though certainly not comprehensive, suggests it could be an issue of a bad driver.--Tony

You may well be right, Scabbo ... I saw a post recently recommending replacing some of the original FS2002 .dlls off the CD, as they can become corrupted over time. May or may not be right, but now I can't find the info again anyway! Yes, I'm forever installing new drivers and (reluctantly) suffering self-install files; but, this is a problem that has reoccurred over time with different driver set-ups. Personally, I would just like to know what ntdll.dll does.My other crash errors - apart from the odd rogue gauge and FSNAV's .dlls on occasions - usually refer to 2D or 3D .dlls - presumably all graphics/memory related?Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

DOES anyone know what ntdll.dll is all about? It's haunting me at present; that, and DirectX locking me up for some reason when all is well in the DXDIAG ... no conflicts found ... I'm at a loss.Ruins the fun of landing, too, when it freezes before descent!Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontEDIT: Since I wrote this entry, I've just tried to go flying again; and found FPS of 1 or 2 with Bill Melichar's Moorea. Shome mishtake, shurely? Not with his scenery, but with my rig! FS2K2 just became unworkable. I have a bogstandard 1.8GHZ P4 with GeForce 2s installed and 512MB RAM.Here's the 'Performance' picture - or lack of, rather: http://www.swiremariners.com/system.jpg When I maximise FS2K2 - 100% CPU usage. When I minimise it - about 15-18%, and that with 46 processes running in the background. Surely I don't have to take that lot out with EndItAll every time, with a rig like mine? Any comments from those that know? No tweakers, please ... I'm not into cutting holes in my casing for fans and all that jazz.http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

FAR too technical for me, Swivet ... do people really do that for a living? Ye Gods. Anyway, thanks ... it does give some clues. There's another thread today blaming soundcard drivers for CPU hogging ... I'm going to check that, as I've been getting funny noises recently. And they're not ALL inside my head.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg
