September 7, 200223 yr Hi there, now I shouldnt have bought that 421C, because now I'm spoiled :) What a HUGE difference to the stock Baron flight behaviour... the 421 is like a cadillac in the air, lots of power and very smooth going. But I digress. Have heard that there is an outstanding .air file for the default Baron 58 by Steve Small, but I havent found it (yet). Any hints/suggestions where it might be located? Is it available for free at all? Thanks for your help.celticmatrix
September 7, 200223 yr Steve was kind enough to post a link to the file a few weeks ago. A search of the archives should bring up the thread. It is an excellent file. The patched Baron flies every bit as well as the payware, IMO, with better framerates.
September 9, 200223 yr I found the message in the archives but the links are dead. Would anyone be willing to forward the .air file on to me?ThanksERIC PAGE:-zhelp
September 9, 200223 yr I know your pain. If nobody else responds - drop me a lign at [email protected]. I've been lucky enough when Steve Small opened his door (just a wee bit) to catch his FSD_BARON_V2.0.zip. I'm willing to share it with you (expect the B58 to handle somewhat, uhmm, more difficult - you'll have to be ahead of her...).DanielEdit: I hope Mr. Small (Steve) doesn't object. I did not ask his permission to distribute his work - and I will not distribute this file to anybody else but the fellow simmer who is (like I was) desperately searching for this file. Yet, I still find his work (not only the Baron file) to be a - a sort of - standard enhancement for the real sim pilot. I think that every fellow simmer should have access to them. Anyway - thank you Steve, due to your files I still enjoy (and find it challenging) to fly the Baron.
