The biggest problem for most of us simmers is the framerates.I'm using a P4 1.6 Ghz, Matrox 32MB card,640 Ram running the Fs2002using XP.Still very slow framerates when over 40 procent clouds, Adding AI activity to standard airports the rate's crash to 4 or less!Schiphol airport from Lago brings down the rates to less then 2!!What settings can I change to up the framerates?Carel.

hi,Your system is similar to my rig...Locked Framerate 30fpsLow Framerate 18fpsAI 100%Scenery sliders all maxedCloud density around 70Aircraft sliders maxedIll probably get blasted for this but, I was a firm believer in running the highest screen rez I had, but I now run 800. I can max out the scenery and clouds, which looks great, even at low rez. and you will see a huge increase in framerates.I cant stress enough the importance of fresh drivers.I also made a few bios tweeks (last resort)I run cacheman, rambooster, and enditall, not sure exactly how they effect frames but some problems I had were cured after install.I dont think there could be a be all end all set up guide cuz all rigs are different and need to be dialed in to make fs look and run the way you want.
