Please, help! Modem can't download while using joystick

Featured Replies

Hi,I want to connect to the Internet in order to use online ATC.BUT: when FS2002 is on and joystick is enabled, my 56k modem is not able to download a single bit from Internet, just as if the server were down.As soon as I disable the joystick (key K), data can be received again. As if there were a conflict between the modem and the joystick (or the sound board it is connected to). I checked hardware settings and everything looks ok. I also tried to disable interrupts on the joystick window in Windows, but nothing changes.Any ideas?I have:Thrustmaster Attack Throttle with a yoke and Thrustmaster pedals;Pentium IV 2 GHZ with 512 Mb Ram;GeForce II 64 Mb;Windows ME.Thank you very much,Luca

This is a unique sounding problems to me. But first I would check in your hardware manager to see if there were any conflicting devices. second I'd see about changing the port that the joystick uses to see if that fixes it. Third, I have heard of a similer problem when people upgraded to the most recent version of AOL, The moden conflicted with other divices, in that case I'd be checking with AOL.Hope I at least gave you a good direction to head inGrey_Wolf

Thanks, Grey_Wolf, for your reply.I checked all the items (apart from AOL, that I do not use), but did not find any conflicts.Luca
