How did you make that network password box? Do u have a java script or html for it?

Thanks for your comments about "easyJet".The company you are referring to is EPRICo, who "enforce" easyGroups IP and copyright.I had a 50 year permission agreement with easyJet, but they forgot to tell EPRICo (easyGroup). As a result they objected to my original Domain Name as "passing off".It has taken a further 6 months to ensure the new format meets the original agreement, to ensure that the "public" in general is quite clear that the website is intended as a Virtual Airline based on easyJet and not the REAL-world airlines own website. As an a-side, I also have permission from about 500 other UK-based companies to use their copyright/logos on my websites. As with all such agreements, permission can be denied on 14 days notice.

The network password, is normally provided by the webhost and is called either "Domain Name Password Protection" or "Folder Password Protection".It is installed in 2 stages, and the webhost MUST support it.There are three files in use:.htaccess, which sets the path.htpasswd which sets the passwordshtpw.exe which encrypts the passwordsLycos thankfully has this all configured, ready to use...

So how do we get onto the site to check it out?

Hi,Im wondering whether you have the copyright for Lufthansa, as a CEO of another airline and I are planning this VA and are currently searching for permission. We have already gathered the fleet and is completed already to use on flight sim. It comes under the name of Lufthansa Virtual and could be one of the most realistic VA's ever, get back to me...

Thats a good question!Membership of the VA has grown purely from word of mouth, although is advertised at VATSIM and a few selected Flight Sim websites. There are two ways to see the website.Current/Former members have already received details, and simply complete the application. Some former members have changed eMail addresses, but still remain on file. These members will be granted access almost immediately.New members applications will be scrutinised.Once the details have been confirmed as valid and correct, then a "temporary" pass is issued. Some areas of the website will remain unaccessable until 60 days have passed and 2 PiReps have been completed. However, those new members that are VATSIM registered will be permitted "full" member status almost immediately.I have learnt from previous experiences there are small numbers of people who sign up only to leave after a few days, or to gain access to the Discussion Boards, etc. This method will deter most of these "bad apples"...

Sadly, Deutsche Lufthansa AG is not based in the UK, and I have never approached them to use their material. I noticed there were already 3 VAs based on Lufthansa in 1998 so decided to seek an alternative REAL-world airline that was not already catered for. Given that these 3 VAs are no longer in existence, its quite probable that permission was denied or had not been applied for.Remember, it can take up to 18 months to obtain a reply, but most companies will reply within 28 days. If the reply is positive, then it will take about 6 months to finalise any terms. Even then, the agreement is usually in their favour!

Hi again, I found a Lufthansa VA: http://www.lufthansava.de.vu/ . I'm approaching the CEO to see whether he has been given permission by the real Lufthansa, who knows, this could save uis alot of trouble getting permission!

Following the completion of the merger between easyJet Airline Company Limited and Go Fly Limited on 01 August, our Virtual Airline is now preparing for the changes that are taking place at easyJet.An announcement is due shortly on where the new Airline is to be based. The latest Pree Release at the easyJet website states this will either be Luton or Gatwick, although initial media reports were that Stansted was being considered. Both airlines continue to operate as separate companies until 29 March 2003, so that gives us plenty of time to integrate and prepare...

Due to continued technical problems with the eMail Forms relaying at LycosUK, the Application Form has now been replaced and updated.Although it may appear identical, it now operates as intended. My apologies to anyone who has attempted to register, but has been met by the "Internal Server Error" fault. You can be assured your Application Form will now be relayed sucessfuly.

The eMail Forms have been OffLine from Thursday 05 Sept to Saturday 07 Sept.Apologies to anyone that has been trying to register/Contact Us, but I was assured by LycosUK this fault had been resolved. As a result a new provider for the eMail Forms has been found. This change is permanent so the fault should never be an issue in the future.
