VUSAF, today announces the opening of its 3rd Wing, with its HQ in Elmendorf, Alaska.The operations of this unit will include Air Superiority, Surveillance, Tactical Airlift, Agile combat support and Alaskan Air Defense. Squadrons and Aircraft under this Command will be :19TH Fighter Squadron F-15C/D12TH Fighter Squadron F-15C90TH Fighter Squadron F-15E517 Airlift Squadron C-130/C-12962 Airborne Air Control Squadron E-3CTenant units:732nd Air Mobility Squadron (AMC asset) C-5AOf course no Wing can function wiothout Pilots, and therefore recruiting has now started to fill positions within the Wing.Point your browser to : http://www.vatsim-unaf.org/vusaf/ and go to the Enlistment page for the VUSAF.Be sure to put in the last section which asks for additional comments the fact that you would like to be considerd for a position with the 3rd Wing, Alaska.Alternatively you can E Mail the Commander 3rd Wing with any questions you may have at : [email protected]
