VUSAF Stands Up Pacific Air Forces Command

The Virtual US Air Force is pleased to announce the opening of the Pacific Air Forces Command. This command has been stood up to serve our current pilots and future pilots in the Pacific Area of Responsbility, as well as provide support services to all VUSAF and allied organizations both stationed and transient throughout the pacific. This new command will be under the direction of Major General Steven Chadwick, VUSAF whose leaves the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center for this new post.The Pacific Air Forces Command (PACAF) is currently tasked with the subordinate unit, the 3RD Wing, Elmendorf Alaska. The 3RD Wing, commanded by Colonel A.J. Brown is a composite lead unit for an Air Expeditionary Force. Other bases and their tenant units under the PACAF are:Andersen AFB, GuamEielson AFB, Alaska, USAKadena AB, JapanKusan AB, South KoreaMisawa AB, JapanOsan AB, South KoreaYokota AB, JapanThe Pacific Air Forces Command is a host command representing all major commands within the US Air Force, that is Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command for example, to ensure that all core tasks and missions of the Virtual US Air Force are met in this area of responsibility.More information and recruting links can be found at http://www.vatsim-unaf.org/newphp/vusaf
