SimNASA: New Recovery Ships

Featured Replies

SimNASA shall soon unveil the newest vessels for the Launch and Recovery Teams: three new Solid Rocket Booster Recovery ships. Two of these ships will be based out of Cape Canaveral and will be used to support SRB recovery following a STS launch while the third vessel will be based on the West Coast to support Vandenberg missions. Through an interagency agreement between SimNASA and the Virtual United States Coast Guard (vUSCG), prospective Captains will learn how to drive ships in the MSFS environment by attending the vUSCG's Surface Vessel Training program and learn how a ship works in VATSIM. Construction of the first East Coast vessel has already begun with an anticipated launch date of late March, and sea trials to begin in early April. http://www.simnasa.org
