March 12, 200323 yr "With precision!" cheered the SimNASA Mission Control Teams as SkyLab I lifted successfully from Launch Pad 39A aboard the Saturn stack. Despite minor ground computer problems earlier during the day, the Team reports "smooth sailing" for the launch and resulting orbital alignment. SimNASA, the most successful virtual space agency, rejoices in their new achievement.SkyLab I is currently in orbit and properly deployed. All solar panels and windmill panels are positioned toward the Sun, and the ATM is operating. The now fully functional station is being checked and awaits its first crew for a 30-day mission.The first crew for SkyLab, the SkyLab II mission, launches this Sunday. The first SkyLab crew of CDR. Brad Hodges, CSM Keith Watt, and Science Pilot Drew Hosick are in final training preparation for the mission that propels SimNASA into a new chapter.
