Hi fellow VA pilots. It is with some sorrow I bring you the following news, my organization and myself do not want to enter into a flame war but due to an escalating situation we decided to post in this and other forums. We do this in the hope that the website owners mentioned below will see sense. It seems that a new VA has decided to directly copy portions of Flying Tigers Group VA websites. Now one may say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery and to a point I agree but the offending VA in question has it seems not only copied some of our site but they add insult to injury by posting a message on their site stating that we copied the alleged intellectual property from them. This is not just an insult it is libelous. We have sent messages to the offending VA asking them to cease and desist from using our intellectual property. They initially replied that they would indeed remove the offending material and that a 3rd party had constructed their site for them (words to that effect). We were very happy with this response and had decided not to take the matter further, now it seems that they have posted a note on their site to the effect that it was us who copied their material. We of course stand ready to prove the validity of our claims. We would appeal to member pilots of the VA listed below to speak with their management and request that they remove the alleged intellectual property to which Flying Tigers Group VA's have sole intellectual ownership. The VA we are concerned about is the new Swiss Airlines VA with a website address of http://www.swissvirtual.comWe as a group welcome diversity and indeed competition. It is with this philosophy that our pilots will have access to VA's who are progressive and innovative, offering vibrant and exciting opportunities to broaden their simulation hobby. If we allow such immoral behaviour then we stiffle progress and also bring unwanted and un-needed attention on our VA's. I appeal to the pilots, owners and officers of the above VA to see sense and to remove the offending material as agreed earlier.I beg the indulgence of those who have read this rather long message, but our group felt that with the alleged escalation then all our sites are at risk not just the Flying Tigers Group of VA's.I wish you peace and happy flying

Fellow Pilots, I am very pleased to tell you that it seems the intellectual property issue described above has now been resolved. I would like to thank the CEO and management group of swissvirtual for their apparent decision and actions. For me this indicates an intention to be a responsible member of the VA community.Pete WellandCEO Singapore Virtual AirlinesA member of the Flying Tigers group of VA'shttp://www.cpavirtual.org/singapore
