logo.gifDETROIT, MICHIGAN, USA -- VATSIM Cleveland ARTCC / Detroit TRACON and American Flight Airways / Pacific Airways are pleased to announce the annual Greater Detroit Fly-In II, which will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2003 from 2000 to 0000 Zulu time (3pm-7pm US EST), on the VATSIM air traffic simulation network.You're invited to join in the fun when the fleets of a number of virtual airlines and a swarm of general aviators converge on the Motor City terminal area (KDTW and its satellites CYQG, KARB, KDET, KPTK and KYIP.) Regardless of whether you're flying a heavy full of critical auto parts or a Cessna sightseeing up the Detroit River, the D21 Detroit TRACON and Cleveland Center crews are ready for you to hit 'em with your best shot. Fly in and out along with American Flight Airways, Pacific Airways, United Virtual Airlines, Virtual Continental, Virtual Frontier, Alaska Virtual Airlines / Horizon Air, Southwest Virtual, Air Wisconsin Airlines Virtual, Green Mountain Airlines and UPS Virtual Air Cargo. Military flyers can stop-over at nearby Selfridge Air National Guard Base (KMTC).Pilot signup is not required, but is helpful (ATC sign-up is closed.)
