American Virtual Airlines will be temporarily lifting aircraft CAT restrictions for all pilots from Feb 23 - Feb 29. If you are looking to join AvA, this is a great time to join and fly some serious hours in the big iron, even if you are a pilot with little VA experience. Come visit us at www.joinava.org. regards, Gary Price AAL600 Public Relations Manager American Virtual Airlines www.joinava.org ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective Monday, 23 February 2004 through 29 February 2004, American Virtual Airlines CAT Restrictions will be TEMPORARILY lifted for all members. During this 7 day period, any pilot can fly any Aircraft in the fleet without restriction. This waiver is ONLY for the period of time stated above and will return to normal on 1 March 2004. This weeklong waiver period is designed so that Pilots might fly a route they normally are not able to fly, such as certain legs of an Around the World Tour. Pilots are encouraged to take advantage of this waiver period, as it will only be done a couple times every year. The ONLY other time a pilot is authorized to use an aircraft outside his/her current CAT Rating are on specified Hub or Company sanctioned Group Flights. These events will be noted as such. Pilots are reminded that with the exception of these Waivers, NO PIREP filed in an aircraft outside of the Pilot's CAT Rating is valid.
