Today sees the official launch of Southeastern Airlines, the re-branded and renamed UK division of Sun Star Airlines.Sun Star UK (as Southeastern was originally called) operated from Kent International using a small fleet of Embraer ERJ145?s to a number of destinations throughout the UK and Europe. Using the ERJ?s meant that the range of destinations Sun Star UK were able to serve was somewhat limited, so the parent company has allocated Southeastern three Airbus A320-232?s, four Boeing 737-800?s, four Dash 8 Q400?s and the four original ERJ145?s.The Dash 8 Q400?s will be used to operate the Jersey and Manchester routes and will also be the backbone of the Southeastern fleet based at their second hub at Plymouth City (due to be launched on Monday December 13th) . ERJ145?s will operate the Glasgow, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Dublin routes. A320-232?s will be used to serve Prague, Nice, Geneva, Toulouse, Salzburg and Zurich., the 737-800?s will operate to Palma, Ibiza, Faro, Murcia, Madrid, Malaga and Barcelona. the Plymouth hub is operational, a number of UK Domestic and feeder flights will be launched.The remit of Southeastern Airlines is to provide our virtual passengers with low cost flights to popular destinations throughout the UK and Europe.
