October 18, 200520 yr NEC Begins Cargo Service From Maine to Connecticut!Headquartered at Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH, Northeast Cargo has begun servicing the northeastern corridor of the US. NEC president, Brian Wilber told the press that he has secured contracts with two major US parcel carriers to "act as feeders" from four New England air cargo facilities.Northeast boasts four models of aircraft to fly between six airports, ranging from the DeHavilland DH6 to a C-17 Globemaster III military cargo plane.Wilber is also in negotiations with Lemforder Corp., a major German auto parts manufacturer. The company has a facility in the Bangor, Maine area and Northeast would like to secure a direct route to the Wolfsburg, Germany area where Volkswagen's main plant is located.
