January 3, 200620 yr Air Fresno is selling off it's interests in Canada West, a single aircraft regional airline operating between Vancouver and Edmonton, with a stop in Calgary. The airline, started as a project for another customer, was repossessed by Air Fresno when the customer failed to provide the required development plan. The airline has been operating on a skeleton crew since then, and Air Fresno CEO Peter McKay decided to liquidate the assets in order to develop other projects. The deal would include a single Boeing 737-300 in Canada West livery and the already established routes. The requirement for the development plan has been dropped to assist in a quick sale.Aircraft and routes may be examined at http://home.earthlink.net/~airfresno/id14.htmlAsking price is $44M (virtual) for the airline.Interested parties can contact the Air Fresno CEO at [email protected]. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137687.jpg
January 5, 200620 yr In anticipation of transfer to a responder, several other aircraft for this airline have now been produced, the total package of aircraft now consists of:SAAB 340B in both passenger and cargo configurationsBoeing 737-300Boeing 737-700 in both winglet and non-winglet forms.Airbus A300B4Airbus A310-100Some have weathered textures, some don't. No more progress will be done on the fleet until a firm new owner has been found. The orignal responder has not gotten back with me in almost 48 hours, therefore I feel the deal is open again to anyone wanting to assume development responsibility for this airline. I have had several respondants since my last contact about the airline that were told the deal was closed. As of 11AM US-PAC time, the deal has been reopened. This is a sound airline concept. There may have been some confusion about the "cost", please understand that the $44 million is VIRTUAL money and will be used to develop another project within the airline. Also understand that with the addition of the new aircraft, the virtual cost has changed. Air Fresno and myself will work with a genuinely interested party on the development of Canada West to an experienced VA owner who wishes to expand his route system, or to a first-time owner with extensive pilot experience with other VA's. I hope that clear up the confusion.
January 9, 200620 yr Canada West has been awarded to Leo Chancellor, there were 3 interested parties that were in competetion for this airline.Mr. Chancellor will release his own press release in the near future regarding his development of Canada West.
