Virtual Atlas Announces Plans to OpenMIAMI--Today, March 13, 2006, Chairman & CEO of Virtual Atlas (www.atlasva.com) announced plans to open by April of 2006 in a Press Conference in Miami. Robert Swievel, acting Chairman & CEO stated, "We expect to commence full operations by April of 2006 if things go right for us, the latest we expect to open will be by early May". The Virtual Airline will start with three hub airports (Los Angeles, New York JFK and Stansted) and eventually grow to five hubs (Adding Miami and Anchorage) as interest increases and pilot numbers increase. The virtual airline will fly 747 Freighter aircraft from the 200F to the 400F series. Pilots will be required to pass small exams for promotion to higher rankings upon meeting the minimum amount of hours for promotion. Virtual Atlas will start as a VATSIM only airline and eventually expand to IVAO and eSkyworld. Based on the real Atlas Inc, Virtual Atlas will provide virtual international cargo services. He/she is also responsible for answering any questions pilots may have and assisting them in any way possible.
