At a recent shareholders meeting Air Fresno Virtual Airlines announced the switch from a scheduled passenger service format to being a total cargo only format. Recent declines in ridership in and out of Fresno-Yosemite International Airport led to this decision. After a 14 day restructuring Air Fresno is now back in operation with the Boeing 767-200F-ER (PoSKY) flying scheduled service from Fresno to New Orleans, Oakland and Long Beach. Other flights to Cincinatti (FedEX link), Seattle and Houston will begin soon. Also available are charter flights for those not wishing to fly a structured schedule. The addition of the McDonnell Douglas DC-9-30 is forthcoming and should be in service by later this month.
