Not sure this is the place to post this, but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere else. There is a new network in town called INTVAS, International Virtual Aviation Society.INTVAS was created to provide the community with a different approach. We are here to provide you, the members, with a network that you can enjoy in many ways. We listen to our members and value their thoughts - that's why we run a democratic system where members have a chance to shape the network to meet their needs.INTVAS is the only network to currently offer military ratings. This means you can fly or control within a realistic military environment and progress up through the ranks! We also offer military training and examinations!Make new friends in a fun online community!Complete training and progress through our unique ratings!Fast and reliable server network!Highly realistic online environment!Membership is free and takes only a few moments. Once you have registered you can begin using our network immediately!Find out more at www.intvas.net!

You don't have a UK division? I'm shocked :-) !Just joking! What I've never seen is the point of all these new networks that are constantly springing up; people are always complaining that there are not enough ATC on-line, yet they feel the need to spread out what is, after all, a relatively small amount of people across many networks. (BTW, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think VATSIM-UK (http://www.vatsim-uk.org) has military ATC or will do so sometime soon.)

Not true. Even if it were true, you would be advocating concentrating all ATC manpower to one network, namely VATSIM. What about those who do not wish to join VATSIM for one reason or another, but enjoy online flying? There are more of them than you might think. As to the VATSIM-UK military division, great, I hope it does well for them. INTVAS still will have thiers too. Again, one does not exclude the other.Since you noticed that the UK Division is not yet active, why don't you join us and take charge of it? You can be in VATSIM and INTVAS at the same time. I am, and I enjoy both networks for flying and controlling.

No disrespect, but each time I've gone to the site (maybe 5-6 over the past 2 weeks) there was never any ATC on...or pilots for that matter...including at the time of this post.Any plans to add controllers or perhaps schedule time blocks where ATC will be on and VAs could schedule events around those timeframe?

No disrespect taken. You make a valid point. However, I would ask you to keep in mind that the network is very small still, and hopefully that situation will improve as we grow. If you join and become active, that will be one step toward that goal.We are adding and training ATC, but that too takes time. We are trying to keep this all in perspective as well, realizing that it is just a hobby and people do have real-world commitments that will not allow them to be online as much as they might like.Lastly, I would ask that people not try to compare us to VATSIM nor IVAO. They are the long-standing giants in our hobby and thus will always have more traffic and more controllers. We simply offer an alternative to them that we feel gives folks a chance to fly and control with fewer restrictions. while realism does factor in, WE DO NOT PLACE REALISM OVER ENJOYMENT!!Hope this gives you a clearer picture of what we are about.

Oh, make no mistake, I think it is a great idea with great promise!I do hope to see success come your way! I totally understand about RW commitments, was just hoping to see a little more activity I guess, but I'm sure time will present that.Best of luck and again, no disrespect intended.

We are growing, but there is still room for more. All are welcome, pilots, controllers and would-like-to-be controllers as well. Come give us a look. You can belong to more than one network at the same time. For those who like to control, management has just invested a large sum of cash in a brand new controller client to rival VRC. It is tentatively scheduled for release around the Feb. time frame.Brian WilberInternational Virtual Aviation Societywww.intvas.net
