Hello everyone,My name is Matt Hunter. I am a representative from the Virtual Defense Department. The Virtual Defense Department (VDD) is not a copy of the VDOD, in fact, we were established in 2004, and have just re-started our work. We are in need of pilots, ranging from poor-skills, to advanced-skills. We have 4 branches, the Virtual U.S Air Force, Virtual U.S Army Air Force, Virtual U.S Navy and the Virtual U.S Coast Gaurd. Each branch/division has 2 wings. Each wing has it's own fleet, and specialized jobs.We are operating based off of the real U.S Military. So, if you like realism, and you like professionalism, while you're flying, then the Virtual Defense Department is the place for you! There is no soldi commitment. We ask that you fly every week if possible, but if not, no problem, we understand. So, why not give it a try? Join us today. Visit our website at: http://military.freedh.net/Please pardon our construction on our site and some inactive links, we're just starting it up again, but if you join it helps us get rolling once more! All people, ages 13-110 are welcome :DJoin the Virtual Defense Department Today!Virtual Defense Department - Beyond the SkiesThank you all!Sincerely,GeneralMatthew J. ..and if you screw up you'll be flying a load of rubber dog s#!t out of Hong Kong. Actually this is a good idea considering how many flights that the USAF MATS alone flies, and the number of aircraft they use. Even third level transporters like the 1104th AVCRAD here in Fresno flies C23's from KFAT to Mather and other locations, the realistic possibilities are endless, then add other virtual missions on top of that. Good luck, great idea.

Oh yeah, one other thing; I'll join, but I need to be at least the rank of Major, and I want dibs on flying Air Force One. I have a link to the Presidents non-classified travel planner and would fly all over the globe...wadda ya think?

Sir,I am curious why you say major? I am just a bit curious, not shocked. Now, what are your flying skills, if you are truly serious about joining? Along with that, what are your best skills, and what are some skills you're weak at? I would like to know.Seeing that we rank from Airman Basic (vUSAF and vUSAA)/Airman Recruit (vUSN & vUSCG), I am pretty sure, that you'd not be put at the bottom of the ladder, and most definately not in the enlisted section. If you are serious, I can make this happen. Once you post your skills and you agree to try to fly at least 3 times a month, then I cna do this for you.I can make you a member of the 28th Bomb Wing, however, you won't JUST fly bombers, you'll fly Air Force One. the 28th Bomb Wing is under the Virtual U.S Army Air Force, sicne the air force is sticking to their own bombers and fighters, and AF1 is with the vUSAA as well. So, if you are truly interested, please post that information, and I can make you a Major of the 28th Bomb Wing.Thank you for your comments, and thank you for your interest. By the way, that travel planner, would be great to help simulate everything we're doing here. We'd love to have you fly it, and share that with us.Please reply.

What are my flying skills? Well let's see, I have recorded over 12,000 hours in various versions of MSFS, starting with MSFS95 in 1996. I have owned 4 award winning virtual airlines, the longest, Air Fresno, lasted 8 years before being closed last month. I have managed more than 270 pilots at one time, in a time without the automation most of today

Sir,Please let me first of all, appologize for the late response, and I'd like to thank you for your generous reply. I have some updates for you sir. It is at this time that the Virtual defense Department is no longer employing enlisted members, as we have reviewed your advice, and the board does agree, we are at this time, only using Commissioned Officer ranks.Along with this, I would like to let you know that, in fact we have a bomb wing for the exact reason that we have a fighter wing. To simulate the real life operations of those wings. Just because the aircrafts can not fire, doesn't mean we should not still simulate them as much as possible. So, the bomb wing will remain, however, I am very interested in what you've posted.Your experience is overall, EXCELLENT. It's outstanding that you've received these awrds you speak of,a nd I've checked, and the ones you named are all valid, amking you a very credible man, which I do like to see. Now, it would be a dishonor to have you come to the VDD as a Major, when, truthfully, you deserve much higher. So, I would like to extend an offer to you. Tht offer would be, to have you sir, join the Virtual Defense Department, under the Virtual U.S army Airforce Division, as a Lt. General. This would place you as second in command of the division. Now, you have asked me why I am qualified to be a General. Well, my answer to that is, I do not need awards, or over 10,000 hours of experiece, nor do I need to be a well-stablished VA owner. However, waht I do need, and what I have personally proven that I have is leadership skills. The Secretary of Defense here within the Virtual Defense Department, interviewed me, and has observed me for some time now, and he has deemed that I have the leadership skills it requires to be a General dn a Division/Branch Commander.I would like to thank you for asking, as that shows you are curious, and I also like curious people. you seem, and you have proven to me, that you are an amazing leader, with more than just potential, because you put your work into action. If you would, i would like to have you joint eh Virtual Defense Department, as a Lt. General (Assistant Division Commander) of the Virtual U.S Army Airforce. If you do so, I will personally put you responsible for aiding me in creating more realistic wings, and definately with you on board, we'd be able to have a MAW group, in which you could setup. Now, if you are not interested in being the Assistant Division Commander, I would like to ask you to join as a Brigadier General, and the Wing Commander of the 89th Airlift Wing. If you'd like either one of these positions, please email me at: [email protected] at VDD, everyone is accepted. You are no exception. You would definately benefit the Virtual Defense Department.I can not wait for your reply.Sincerely,GeneralMatthew J. HunterVirtual U.S Army Air Forcehttp://military.freedh.net/vusaa

E-mail reply sent.I am still whole-heartedly in support of this VA idea, it will be slow to develop but I have faith that it will be well detailed in it's organization.

Sir,Please understand this is not an idea. this process has started, about 4 years ago. It ceased development, and just restarted 2 months ago. So this is not an idea, it's a Virtual Military Network, and it's already underway. The 89th would just be a wing, however, I will put your considerations into thought, but some of them are too complex for the amount of members we have at the moment. However, please keep supplying us with your ideas/thoughts, as we do sincerely appreciate them.Thank you very much sir.Sincerely,GeneralMatthew J.
