November 11, 200619 yr With the demise of Air Fresno through a real world buy-out, the central San Joaquin Valley has been without virtual airline representation since September 1st. However, after consulting with those that purchased the former airlines domain and name, a new airline is being launched to step directly into Air Fresno Virtual Airlines shoes. Fresno Airways is an entirely new airline with new features and up to date reporting systems. The old airline kept many of its 1998 launch date features, including an antiquated PiRep system fraught with inaccuracies and corruptibility. This and other drawbacks lead to its inability to maintain a significant roster for the last few years of its operation. The new airline will use the FS ACARS PiRep system; feature a pre-employment check flight and a comprehensively written downloadable real world style employment manual (MSWord is required for reading the manual). Returning from service with the previous airline is the Embraer EMB-120ER Advanced, with an all new livery and adjusted flight dynamics for a more realistic and accurate flight model. The bright new colors and highly polished bare metal overall fuselage gives the aircraft a beautiful look, while the advanced modifications to the configuration file extends range and provides more power for hot and high operations. Fresno Airways will open on December 1st on its temporary site at http://home.earthlink.net/~fresno_airways/. A new domain site may be secured in the near future, based on the initial success and popularity of the airline after opening. Immediate openings for pilots are available.
