nother year has gone and a new one has started. As always the staff at BuzzAway have been hard at work behind the scenes improving the airline. Please spend a couple of minutes of your time reading this email to bring yourself up to date with the latest.In December 07, before the end of the year, the staff at Buzz decided that we needed to add more features and improve the airline to bring ourselves up to the standard of other top airlines. If you remember we had a change not so long ago, to improve the website to make it easier to update. The pirep system however still was in need of some attention as we are still running off of the E-Pirep system. We have been listening to your comments and suggestions and we have been acting. From December we have been organising a custom made pirep system to be made that is tailor made for BuzzAway. Well it is now February, and I am pleased to say that the pirep system is finally ready.The new pirep system is fairly asy to use and is very powerful. The pirep system gathers data from the Vatsim server and processes the information. This means that all you need to do to file a pirep is fly a flight on Vatsim. You do not have to enter or work out how much fuel you used and there are no forms to fill in. All you have to do is correctly set up and file a flight plan, on the Vatsim server, with some extra information and let our system track and record your flight automatically. Do not worry, we will provide you with all the information necessary on how to connect and record your flights.Unfortunatly for the time being it does mean that all flights have to be flown on the Vatsim network. There are plans in the near future to incorporate the IVAO network. We can also provide training and help to people that are not familiar with the Vatsim network. With the new system we will be transferring pilots across from the old system over to the new one. So now is the time to tell us if you no longer wish to be a part of BzzAway. As always, we value pilots input and suggestions so if you have any, do let us know.With the new pirep system comes a new pilot centre. This can be found by going to the pilot centre link on the navigation bar of the website, and then clicking on pilot centre in the dropdown. You will need to register with the new system. We wish to know how many people want to continue flying with us now that we have the new system. So if you wish to stay with BuzzAway Airways, then please follow this link to register with the new system. If you do not signup to the new system within 14 days of the email that was sent out, then we shall remove you from the airline.Click here to sign up with the new systemThe pilot centre will require separate login credentials that will be emailed to you shortly after you register. The new pilot centre has even more features. The pilot centre will have a new pilot roster that can tell you detaild information on each pilot showing how many hours they have flown, their last destinations, favourite routes, how many passengers they have carried, how many miles they have flown and lots more! It also has a detailed fleet information section that will have all sorts of data on each aircraft like how many miles an aircraft has flown, how many times it has been flown, and what routes it has flown. You can also track current flights that are being flown on the Vatsim server providing detailed information on a live map.Over the new year, we have also been working on a new livery for the airline. Sneak previews have been on the front page of the website and in the fleet section of the website. Coinsiding with the release of the pirep system, the new liveries are now available to download from the website.We are not stopping there! I did say we have been busy! In the next couple of days we will also be releasing the BuzzAway Gateway. BuzzAway Gateway is the new inflight magazine fr Buzz pilots and your passengers. It is packed full of information, hints, tips interviews, reviews and more! The new quarterly magazine will be a multi-page magazine that will bring you up to date with the latest and allows anyone, who is interested in avaiaton, to get a chance to read up on what's happening in the virtual and real aviation world.Thank you for spending your time to read this email.
