Rocket Air Charters Commence

Huntsville, AL (AP) - Rocket Air Virtual Airlines has officially commenced charter work for NASA by bringing NASA employees home for the weekend. Charter services commenced yesterday (4/4/2008) with flights between Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, Washington, DC and Melbourne, FL. NASA hopes to cut cost by using Rocket Air for rapid transportation of personnel between the major cities of operation. Currently Rocket Air has been chartered operate daily flights between the cities every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Rocket Air can also be called upon for special emergency charters. In addition to the 737-700 charter flights Rocket Air will switch its longer range routes to the Caribbean to this airframe. Last week Rocket Air announced that it commenced operations to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and Cozumel, Mexico with the Embraer Regional Jet 170.
