Air Fresno sets reopening date

Featured Replies

Air Fresno has completed their website remodeling and set a reopening date for Saturday, September 6, 2008. The website has been rebuild from scratch and feautres new colors and layout. Navigation is simpler and the overall look is much cleaner. The content is easy to find and for pilots many of the administration features have been simplified. The fleet was rethought, and we decided that the CRJ-700 best suited our needs both in the present and in the future. The Dreamwings aircraft was chosen for FS9, but pilots also have the option of flying payware and FSX default aircraft. The new livery is a departure from an almost 10 year old design and again is much simpler and cleaner. Some routes were carried over from the past but we will not add more routes than we have basic coverage for. Pilots will have their choice of several hubs to operate from, and an expansion plan is already in place once pilot ranks begin to build. Timing was done with real world aircraft flying in virtually the same flight plan envelopes that our CRJ's will fly, so posted schedule times are much more accurate. I personally invite everyone to come to the Air Fresno open house on September 1st, take a look at the finished site and please, post your remarks, good or bad. A lot of work has been done to keep this heritage airline alive, I hope those of you who were interested in us in the past will be for the future.www.airfresno.com

Best of luck Sarah! I flew with your Dad (Peter) and was sad to see Air Fresno shut down (that was what, about a year ago?).Anyways, best of luck with the re-opening!!!

Thanks. Dad is still flying some for Virtual Southwest. He had a stroke in February and is slowly getting back to a normal life. He was active in the refurbishing of the airline but other than flying a limited schedule has retired.

Wow, I hadn't heard about Peter...he's been around longer than I have...and that's a long time. I wish him a speedy recovery and I'm glad to hear he's back to flying. Also good to see a return of Air Fresno, best of luck Sarah!
