VCAP Celebrates 1 year anniversary

Featured Replies

on August 17th vCAP will be celebrating its 1 year anniversary.vCAP at first started as a private group of only 3 members, which were all members of my real CAP squadron. vCAP was just something we would do when we got bored and fired up our sims and practiced some of our ES training or just goof around in old fighters. since then vCAP has grown into an organization in which prides itself in not only representing our real world counter part but as well as holding many of the same values and traditions many members of the Civil Air Patrol live by.vCAP has received memberships from almost all parts of the worlds regions and military. From CAP Cadets and Seniors to Air Force and Naval Academy Cadets, From the US Army to the Royal Air Force, and even 1 person from the Israeli Army. truly something i never imagined it would ever be.vCAP members have flown well over 1,000 hours in our first year of operations, which with our small numbers i find very good. although we officially have not been able to have our members participate in SAR operations we have however been able to provide our members with a wide range of other operations including medical transportation and aerial photography.for the upcoming year we are setting up major operations such as our Counter Drug Operations division and possibly a homeland security division.vCAP definitely would not be what it is today if it wasn't for the countless hours our staff spends working on publications, procedures, and tons of other things that are done on a weekly basis, and as well for our friends over at the vUSAF who have graciously taken us under they're wings and helped wherever possible. To commemorate our anniversary we are planning on a fly-in event for the 24th. although we are still working out the details, we are inviting all the UNAF affiliates to attend aswell as anyone else who would like to show up. more info on this will be released soon.So from vCAP to everyone else. thanks for taking us in and letting us strive to be the best we can.Gen.
