May 30, 200422 yr Hey here is a thought that occured to me. I have been flight simming for 5 years now and I have NOT ever met any gurl that is interested in flightsimming/aviation apart from female pilots. How is this possible? This is not a male dominated hobby, how great would it be to meet just one female that shares the same hobby as you!?!If there are any out there, I havent met any, so please respond.Males: Your view on the subjectFemales: Let us know u exist!Arman Motiwalla

June 17, 200421 yr Of the 1200 pilots in the Flying Tigers Group there are a number of female pilots. And in fact, of the eighteen airlines in the group, two are headed by women: Asiana Virtual Airlines and Virgin Virtual Airlines both have female CEOs. :-)
July 6, 200421 yr Yep and I am another :DOps Manager Solent Airlineshttp://www.solentairvirtual.co.uk
July 8, 200421 yr As I posted on the other VA forum, my late wife Kimmiko was recognised as the first female VA CEO back 7 years ago. Her VA, Geisha Air, didn't last long, less than a year, but she established herself as a qualified CEO and VA pilot with over 2000 hours in MSFS95. I'm glad to see that you guys (girls?) are finding your place at the head of virtual airlines. Kimmiko was recognised by flightsim.com as the first female VA CEO in 1999, the year she died of pancreatic cancer.http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/who/kim.htmPeter McKay, PresidentAir Fresno Regional Virtual Airlineshttp://home.earthlink.net/~airfresno/
July 9, 200421 yr I am sorry for your loss Peter. I'm sure you know that Rachel and I, and Julie I'm sure, admire and respect a woman who was a true pioneer. We are the few, but it's encouraging to see that our numbers are growing - and in management positions as well.Best regards,
