November 26, 200421 yr Hello. I belong to that VA, and can help facilitate this for you. They are currently making changes to their website- I believe that may be the reason for error messages. I've notified them of your difficulties, and supplied them with your e-mail. Due to the holiday weekend, I'd say wait a few days. If you haven't heard from them, post back here again or e-mail me and I'll work with you until everything is resolved.(EDIT) I just heard from the CEO. The application page is supposedly working . He says he'll contact you via e-mail and ask you to try re-applying. Now you have two of us working to help you get registered!

December 16, 200421 yr Hello,I just wanted to get in here and say. I really like this VA alot I know one of the big ones that been around for awile. I joined this organization under Continental airlines. I was very happy to see that you dont have to fly on line useing VATSIM or another online source. I understood that you would have to sumbmit a check flight after joining. So I did this thinking ok now I'm on my way flying out of the hub I choose and starting my career. But this was not the case. After doing this check flight I thin had to go and do some traning flights. These traning flights put you in the single engeine aircraft. Not enven in turboprop aircraft or small regional aircraft that you will start with. Theres a big differnce in these kinds of planes. I find this whole training thing unessary when you already have to do a check ride just to get in the door. For that matter I did my check in a 737. I think that this concept will make alot pilots steer away from this kind of VA. Which is very sad becasue this VA has very good looking professional websites and repersents some very big name airlines. Its to bad that you cant just to the check flight then get assinged to a hub and fly jets or regional aircraft. I would think that if your comeing in with no hours you would start with regional aircraft then after so many hours move to jets. I understand this is how this VA operates but you have to go through these training flights just to get to the regional planes. I find all this to much if you just want to fly for one of the big virtual airlines and not fly on VATSIM or anyther online network.I think this cuts out alot of potential good pilots. I think if this is where you guys want to take this VA. It need to say that this is VATSIM only VA and be prepaired of the intentise traing regiment. I enjoy this is a hobby and I dont have all the time in the world to go fly. If I was going speed this much time to get the status in a VA. I would go learn to fly the real thing. It is really sad beacuse it like if you dont all this time in world. You cant fly for any of there big name virtual airlines. One word people its a hobby. I realize alot of people want to try to keep it real. But lets be realistic about the situation.I have been a member of many VA's and would to be a memeber of this one. But for the times flowen for other VA's I really dont feel like starting all over again. I dont care if you tranfer my hours but at least give me and the other people that join. The credit that they can at least fly a airplane. How about come up with a 10 question test or something of basic knowledge to be able to fly. Otherwise go through some traning if you dont pass the test.Regards,Ron
