Does anyone know how to stop MSFS automatically setting the transponder after ATC have issued a squawk code ??No matter how quickly you try to set it manually, the auto feature beats you to it.John Ammundsen

Whjen ATC gives me the Squawk code, I usually go ahead and set the squawk code manually without replying... when you enter the correct code, the ATC automatically notifies you of radar contact.Cheers,Simon.

SimonThanks, I'll try that. ( Presumably ATC don't object to the lack of acknowledgement )john Amm.

They will yell at you if you are not fast enough. Ok, not yell at you, but they will ask if you if you aknowledged the last request a couple of times.

In real life I usually don't acknowledge a squawk request, because that's how I hear other pilots act. Technically all requests should be acknowledged with a concise readback, but as long as you get the code right, they'll see you soon enough and contact you when they identify your location. If I have any question as to whether or not I heard the code correct though I will readback immediately, or if it is part of a longer request.
