Can't see defult GPS?

Featured Replies

Fellow Simmers,After one of my latest add-on installations, can't remember which, I started to get this annoying massage when starting FS2K2. later on in the simulator I cant see anymore the default GPS so I guess I overwrite the default file by mistake. :-( Please advise what can do in order to restore the default gauge. Thanks in advance,Shay

Its like a plague lately,This has been covered already, but what I did the first time was have a friend mail me the offending gauge...the second time (shame on me) i just took the first fs cd and searched out the gps.gau.good luck, if you cant find it ill mail it to you.odog

Simply copy the gps.gau from your FS2k2 CD (Disk #1) to your FS2k2 GAUGES directory. If prompted to overwrite the file, click "Yes."Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 29.42 WHQL Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298

This is the reason I unzip to a TEMP folder and then move things by hand. :-)Especially if you're installing stuff that was originally designed for FS2000. With native FS2002, it's a lot safer... but not always!

Hi,As Eko says, and I agree, you should always unzip to a temp folder and move files by hand, its the long way, its the tiresome way, but its a safe way (in 99% of the cases).Peter.

Hi all,Sometimes you learn it in the hard way. Thanks for your quick responses.:-newbie Shay
