Auto Pilot on G/A aircraft

Recommended Posts

Guest

I've spent most of my simming time on larger aircraft and I've come to appreciate the autopilot in flying, especially for longer periods of time.Every now and then I'd like a change of pace and fly some of the smaller G/A aircraft such as the Mooney Bravo and the light Beech Twin. I notice they have Autopilot switches on them but after spending some time trying to activate and use the autopilot I have given up in frustration. Can anyone give me a step by step as to how to use autopilot on the mooney and the light twin? I like the autopilot especially for use in the IFR environment. it helps to stop ATC from hollering at me for being more than 300' plus or minus my IFR altitude.

On the default aircraft fo this type, the autopilot is located on the radio stack.
