Lock Ups with Geoforce 2 DDR

Featured Replies

Hi All, I have had the aforemntioned card now for approx 3 months. I have however noticed that i cannot update the drivers without the system locking up! Instead i am stuck with the Windows XP default drivers which happen to be v5.12. After a time these too lock up and the only way to cure it is to un-install the card in the device manager and let windows recognise it on boot up! This will last for 2 - 3 weeks before i have to do it again! Has anyone got any suggestions! The lock ups only occur when fs2k2 is running. There again it is the only graphically intensive program i use at present! Cheers Daren

Daren:Download the newest drivers for your Geforce2 card and unzip them to a directory on your HD.Uninstall the current video card driver and reboot.Let WinXP detect the video card and when prompted, select the option that allows you to set up the drivers from disk and go to the new drivers directory and let Windows install those drivers.HTH,Mike T.

Cheers Mike. Will give it a go!

Hey Mike. All of the new drivers on the sites have auto installers! How do i get round that if you want me to get Win to pick it up during install? Daren
