October 30, 200223 yr Just got mine and have pretty much figured out all the bells and whisles for it but one. When looking at it to the left of the yoke shaft is a wheel sticking out of the dash, what is it for???http://www.enter.net/photoalbum/data/reddog/140645.jpgSceenshots and Pics athttp://community.webshots.com/user/reddog18951USMC Retired
October 30, 200223 yr Author Trim wheel, Chien Rouge. Weird, eh, that they don't mention it ANYWHERE in the documentation? But it works.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontEDIT: That said, you don't want to be mucking about with it all the time ... it's really better, in my experience, to set up with that and then use buttons on the yoke or pedestal for your trim on individual planes.http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
October 30, 200223 yr Thanks Mark. Been using a stick with the twist grip for rudder since I started simming, this is so much better but finding I'm doing a lot of over controlling especially with the pedals!!!!http://www.enter.net/photoalbum/data/reddog/140645.jpgSceenshots and Pics athttp://community.webshots.com/user/reddog18951USMC Retired
October 30, 200223 yr Author LOL, yes. It's fun at first, crabbing all over the place. but when you get to set it all up properly in FSUIPC and learn to be gentle with everything, well it's just fantastic. I have my joystick in parallel for fighters, Airbuses, helis and all that jazz ... I actually find the combination of stick and pedals the most satisfying. Hueys in the autogen jungle, and all that stuff.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
