Crossing the oceans . . . .

Featured Replies

is quite easy using the NATs for traffic between North America and Europe. But what about flights to and from Europe to South America (SBGL i.e.) or between Sydney - Los Angeles, India-South Africa.... ? Are there similar routes established for all the oceans or is this more or less uncontrolled "terrain" and everybody is flying direct routes relying only on TCAS ? And if these tracks exist, wher ecan I find them ?Thanks,J

Hi Jorg !There are four static routes between Europe and South America.UN741 SNT - FLZ (Porto Santo - Fortaleza)UN866 KONBA - MSS (Konba - Mossoro)UN873 GDV - NTL (Gran Canaria - Natal)UN857 LZR - NOR (Lanzarote - Noronha)These routes are mainly used for flights between Europe and Brazil/Argentina/ChileI don't know much about the routes above the Pacific ocean, maybe you can check VATSIM.Jasper :-wavenew system specs:P4 2.4768MB RAMGeForce 4 Ti440080 GB HarddiskDVD-BurnerWin XP home edition11189 3dMark 2001 benchmarkshttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3da3e03f7b43a9e8.jpg
