When i run fs2002 around busy areas, i get engine stuttering sounds and sometimes everything freezes up and the sound just keeps stuttering until i reset the computer! I have 512mb ram, a TI4600 Graphics card and XP1900 processor. Am i underpowered! i set framerates at 25, and usually get about 16-20 round busy airports.

As a suggestion, check the level of sound acceleration on your system. In DxDiag [the full diagnostic], on the sound tab there is a slider for the sound acceleration. I found that when I set mine to a basic level of acceleration [the level just above no acceleration] the sound stutters disappeared.If the slider was set to either "off" [no acceleration], or set too high, stutters appeared.Hope this helps. 25fps may be quite high. I find 15 to be sufficiently smooth so that the rest of the CPU can be devoted to the sound and graphics.
