cross country flying

I am about to do a 1,100NM cross country in the Commander 115TC and I will be flying for 4.5hours what altitude should I fly at?

Odd-thousands + 500 feet if flying to the east, Even-thousands + 500 feet if flying to the west VFR under FL180. I'd suggest looking at the winds aloft forecasts for the area you'll be flying in and picking an altitude that gives you the most favorable winds. You could also try to pick an altitude that'll give you the greatest fuel economy. It's a real challenge when you want to do both at the same time. :)
