Upgrading from fs2000 to fs2002

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi, i am thinking of upgrading to fs2002 with all the upcoming product releases: RC 3, AITG etc. I currently have an Athlon 1 ghz, 512 ram and a decent graphics card which gives me between 15 and 50 fps in fs2000. Will the FPS go down significantly with fs2002? The only real advantage I see in fs2002 is the ai traffic (now with real airlines and schedules) combined with the new RC 3 release. So I would need to turn the AI option own and still get decent frame rates. Do you think I should upgrade now or wait a couple of years when I upgrade the PC? Many thanks!

hi,i'm running fs2k2 on a p3 500,256 megs of ram,and a ati 8mb graphics card....with ai at 100%,scenery at 40% i'm getting between 17 and 20 fps....with wilco's 767 pic...with fs2k i'd be at 9 fps on landing,with all the sliders back...if i had your system...i would have bought it a year ago.....fs2k2 is smoother and less consuming as fs2k...just my 2 centsbyeTom van der Elst
