There are some complexities that are best served by reading your manual.The basic idea with ILS in FS is this: if the runway you are going to land at supports ILS it will have a NAV radio frequency associated with it. If your plane supports ILS then as you approach the runway with your NAV radio tuned properly the ILS signal will be captured and you will get an onscreen display (depending on the plane and panel) indicating the proper glideslope to follow as well as whether you are on center.This is an oversimplification but hopefully will encourage you to hit the books and see what your manual has to say about it. It's a nice feature that can be made to work most of the time but is not a substitute for learning to land by hand first. It's a supplement more than anything else.Good luck!
