Component Video out

Featured Replies

I have a new widescreen tv with component TV inputs (rgb and 1080i,1080p, 480p etc.)Does anyone put out a hi performance video card capable of say 1040p scanning, or even 480p. My dream is to have that 747 panel and windscreen plastered all over that wide screen tv, while i jockey the controls from my armchair.Am I ahead of my time or what? I know you can output to svideo but don't know about component.thanks for any helpJim

Component inputs are usually used to connect component outs on dvd players to your tv( slighly better signal than s video). If your tv has a dvi or a vga input then you can output your video cards signal to the hdtv. Your hdtv is a progressive scan monitor just like a computer monitor that should accept a computer vga signal if it has the connections. Also alot of video cards have an s video out that you could connect to your tv.
