Are current TFT screens good for gaming?

Featured Replies

I've been thinking about getting a TFT screen in case my current monitor should die in the foreseeable future - right now there's no indication that it will, but anyway. In the past, however, I kept being told that TFTs were not very well suited for applications requiring fast display refresh rates, such as games. Thus I'm curious if contemporary TFTs might have been improved in this point. If you happen to be using one yourselves and happy with its game performance, please feel free to post your recommendations as well! :-)Thanks for all your input!

TFT monitors have improved, just as everything else in the computer industry, but, I would still recomend a traditional good CRT monitor for gaming, so don't hit your current monitor with a sledgehammer just yet ;)
