FS doesn't see the joystick

Featured Replies

Guys I'm stuck...I got a new PC and plugged my MS SideWinder FF Pro into it. Added the joystick using stock "MS SideWinder (auto detect)" drivers. Joystick added AOK, the Control Panel sees it, it calibrates and tests just fine, everything works. BUT Flightsim cannot see it! The "Enable joystick" is grayed out in Controls menu. In the "settings" page accessed from the opening screen, there IS a tick mark and the Joystick checkbox, but Forces button are inactive, and Sensitivities page has no controls for a joystick.I checked if other games can see the joystick. Flanker 2.5 sees it, Rally Trophy sees it, but Commanche vs Hokum doesn't.If I plug in a simple basic Logitech joystick, FS happily sees it. Any ideas? :-(AlexPS the system is, P4 2000, EPOX i845 motherboard with built-in AC97 audio and gameport. I tried installing my SB Live! sound card but it had some conflicts so I left it for later.

Is USB? Also do you happen to have 2 soundcards? (One on motherboard, and another sperate one)

Nope standard gameport joystick, and single motherboard integrated soundcard

Im sorry but that was the only thing I could think of that may be causeing problem.Hoepfuly someone else will be able to help you.
